Consumer Reports reveals its list of the most reliable brands

Consumer Reports is arguably one of the automotive industry's most recognized and respected publications. That's why when it publishes its annual Top Brands Report, consumers take it into account.

This year, there has been a change of guard within the brands occupying the first places of the charts.

Indeed, the Japanese luxury car manufacturer Lexus had been at the top for three years, but now it is Audi which is now in first place with a score of 80 points out of 100. Subaru for its part finished in second place with 78 points. Lexus is now in third place as BMW and Porsche round out the top 5.

Mazda is in sixth place while Ford is in seventh place.

To establish its ranking, Consumer Reports relied on ratings collected by its editorial staff and paired it with a reliability rating.

Obviously, this type of classification is not the only variable to consider when we want to buy a used vehicle, but it is all the same an additional piece of information that can allow us to make the best decision.
